A Sauccerful of Secrets

Released: June 1968

This is the second studio album by Floyd. The extraordinary thing of this album is its historical significance. We see Syd Barrett leaving and Dave Gilmour joining. Yet it is the only Floyd album where we have all five members involved. In this album which is purely 'psychedelic' we have two masterpieces. Both of them are accredited to Waters alone; 'Let There Be More Light' and 'Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun'.

Another highlight is the album's last song 'jugbandBlues' which was the only Syd Barrett composition and vocal performance. It has some cool sounds for the time and its last words were kinda characteristic for Syd's state of mind as at the time: ' ... and what exactly is a dream, and what exactly is a joke' .
